Beware of Timeshare Buy Sell promises and paying registration fees on the promise of high resale prices and guarantee buyers.
Over the last few years there has been
a number of Timeshare marketing companies abroad who have been selling Timeshare to
existing Timeshare owners on the pretence of selling the customers ownership week/s so
that they can purchase new ownership at their resort.
You mat think it will never happen to me, but in fact it has happened to a
large number of owners. The marketing companys
sometimes even go to extreme lengths of having bogus buyers on the other end of the
telephone and fax lines.
Sunset
Leisure strongly advise against purchasing any timeshare on the understanding that your
ownership will be sold, because on most occasions if you look at the contract there is no
mention of the marketing company selling your existing timeshare week/s, so more often
than not the owner ends up with lots of Timeshare and extra maintenance fees which was not
the intention of the purchase.
Beware of resale companies who say
we will sell your Timeshare for what you paid for it , or we have buyers in Eastern Europe who
will pay more for it than you paid, and the registration fee is only £*** . This
may sound strange coming from a resale company but stop and think before you pay over any
monies to any resale company in form of registration fees.
Ask yourself is this company only interested in my registration fee or do
they genuinely have a successful resale programme. If
they genuinely had purchaser waiting then why do they need to charge a registration fee. Certain companies may advertise Free
registration and two weeks down the line they tell you your week/s are sold, so
send them £*** whilst they send the paperwork to the solicitor and once you have parted
with your money the sale quite conveniently falls through !
Please note there are some resale companys who do charge a
registration fee and do successfully sell ownership, but beware of the ones that dont
!
