English Apples - D'Arcy Spice
Pick late October; keeps for a while (say 4 weeks or so) in excellent condition. Similarities with
Ribston: rich, aromatic, flattish apple, green to yellow-green. Citrus-type sharpness to the flavour, but
not unpleasantly so. Discovered 1785. My tree has gone biennial. No fruit at all in the "off" years.
