We are a Roman Catholic parish within the Archdiocese of Southwark, in the Balham Deanery. The Church was opened in 1907 (there is a parish history available written by a parishioner, Lawrence Seglias).

The parish house is next door (No 36). We have no parish school, but we have many children who are educated in the area.

We try to be one community of faith. With four Masses each weekend, we are in danger of becoming four congregations. We are a very diverse parish, and we rejoice in this: look at the map at the back of the church showing where we come from. Some of us have been here for 50 years, but there is quite a quick turnaround of people whose jobs (and visas) move them on.

We have lots of young children (after all, Wandsworth and Clapham are known as the fertile crescent), most of them come to the 11:00 Mass. We have also many young adults, most of these seem to come on Sunday evening.

The Mass is the heart of parish life when we hear the word of God, join in the sacrifice of Christ, and receive the sacrament of His Body and Blood. We are nourished and we are challenged.
