| Bowfell Links from Three Tarns |

| After the easier section there followed another steep climb up the stony, eroded path to Three Tarns, where we stopped to admire the views of the Scafells and Bowfell Links. It looks as if a giant hand has clawed furrows into the side of Bowfell, and although it might appear as if these gulleys offer a route to the summit they do not, being full of loose scree and blocked by boulders. |
