| Descent from Glaramara to Seathwaite by Hind Gill |
| Monday March 28th 1988 |
| We had walked up Styhead from Seathwaite and then to Esk Hause and Allen Crags and on to Glaramara. The weather on top was atrocious, with thick cloud and driving hail, and I had to use my compass (for only the second time in all my years of walking). Even so we missed our intended descent over Thorneythwaite Fell and came out of the clouds at the top of Hind Gill. It was a very steep and unpleasant descent. |
