Troutbeck from Threshthaite Mouth
Monday October 23rd 1989
We went up onto High Street as far as the summit cairn before heading back to the beacon on Thorntwaite Crag and across to Threshwaite Mouth, from where there were good views down the Troutbeck valley. The path down across Park Fell Head was very steep and quite tricky on the loose rocks, but we arrived without mishap on the floor of the valley. Windermere is just visible in the distance.

Scanned from the original negative.
