I have received several e-mails from people wanting advice on accomodation, and also from administrators of commercial sites wanting me to add a link. My intention was that I would not advertise such sites, but I have now decided to add a selection of accomodation and useful commercial sites.
Please look at these before you ask me for details of where to stay.

Ann lives in Portinscale and posts daily walks and pictures. A site which you can visit every day and find something new.
Tony Richards is a postman from Coniston. The site is updated daily with photos taken as he delivers mail in the south Lakes. Particularly good for Langdale.
Andy Wallace (aka Andy Fellwalker) describes his walks in the Lakes. Accounts of his ascents and descents, sometimes by unconventional routes, plus photographic evidence that he's done it!.
Sean McMahon wanders the fells in the company of Angus. Some great photos, and information about the Lake District. Regularly updated, so keep going back to it.
Paul Rose's Wainwright walks, old Lakeland photos and much more. A nicely constructed and informative site.
David lives within a 10 minute drive of Ennerdale, and gets out on the fells as often as possible. Check for frequent updates.
