PowerSMS is an application to send SMS messages to mobile phones over the Internet.
PowerSMS 2.0b1 has been released for MacOS 8.6/9, MacOS X and Windows.

- Support for multiple SMS gateways.
- Proxy support.
- Sending messages to multiple groups is now possible.
- Majorly improved user interface.
- There is a quick-send userlist in the main window that allows you to quickly address new messages.
- New neat icons for a lot of buttons.
- Several new options in the preferences dialog, including "Warn before deleting items" (such as phone book entries, gateway accounts and outbox entries) and "replace international characters", which replaces characters such as å, ä and ö with a, a and o.
- Various bug fixes.

* Should work on all 32-bit Windows versions, i.e. Win95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP. However, it has only been tested on Windows XP.

Carbonlib is needed to run the Carbon version under MacOS 8.6/9.x - download from Apple.

To expand the Macintosh versions, you need StuffIt 5 or later. StuffIt 4.5 or earlier will not work. To decode StuffIt Expander 5/6 you need any earlier version of StuffIt, which should have come with your computer - don't mail me about it.
The Windows version can be expanded with an unzip utlity, such as WinZip.
