Situated on the North Kent Coast, an area popular with sailors, the Tankerton Bay Sailing Club was formed in 1962, adopting a friendly atmosphere, welcolming all ages.
The ethos of the club is...

...to
encourage the spirit of sailing with particular emphasis on family participation

...to foster a spirit of comradeship amongst sailors using Tankerton's beaches

...to organise races in accordance with Royal Yachting Association rules

We are very proud that these principal aims have continued from the begininning, and that the family approach is maintained.

Club Facilities

The Club House is constructed at the base of a grass slope, providing 3 main levels to the building. On the ground floor is the Bosun's locker, our Rescue Boat and storage under the balcony. The first floor level consists of a main area, bar and galley all leading to a large balcony overlooking the beach and sea. The balcony is ideal for watching the racing, the water being just 7 metres away!

Off the main area are the changing rooms and toilets, with the race tower on the top level, providing a perfect position for observing the racing.

We also have a bar, where drinks can be purchased at very low prices, and a galley with sandwiches, biscuits, crisps and hot drinks.
