April 2007

the Bed and Breakfast accomodation

We have had a really busy winter getting the B&B finished and have done nothing much else but prepare for the opening day.

We officially opened on April 1st but had an opening party on the 30th March and we invited all the tradesmen and our friends and family and we had a very good night with everyone surprised at what we have done.

We have had lots of visitors throughout April and have made lots of new friends.

We had a wet few months which made the farmyard very messy but it has since dried up and we have laid tarmac for the car-park and driveway.

All the dogs are fine including Ollie the pup we have kept from Meg and Len’s litter. The other 3 pups have gone to good homes, one to a farm, one to a couple who are taking him to agility training, the other one has gone to one of our regular visitors and he came back for his holidays over Easter.

All the cattle have just about finished calving and Bernard has a sister who just looks like him called Bernadette and her mother does not want her either.

Lambing is well under way, but we have a few to lamb yet as we put every thing back a week to get the B&B finished. The weather has been glorious so Tom is lambing everything outside.

Best wishes to all old and new friends from home and abroad
