 Swampy whispered a word in the right ear to get me nominated for the British Bear Artists Awards in 1998. Unfortunately, we didn't actually win, but that wasn't bad for a bear beginner! |
SWAMPY
Swampy stands (or rather, sits - too much Scrumpy) 11" high, and is made of multicoloured mohair, hand-dyed by Atounours. He has multicoloured dreads, nose and ear-rings, a crystal pendant, and his own instruments. You probably don't want to know everything that's in his bumbag but it contains, among other things, the bear necessities for rock festivals - a toilet roll and plastic mac.
Despite his appearance he's quite a friendly bear, very environmentally aware, and is often to be seen up trees in the vicinity of environmental protests.
