1881 Spring Gardens, Newchurch, Lancashire 1871 Census - Dean Road, Newchurch, Lancashire I have found a Thomas BATEMAN on the 1891 Census. They have his second name down as HINTON, on Ancestry.com, but looking at it I think it is WHEATON, we had the initial down as a W and his mothers maiden name was WHEATON. If this is correct as I think it is he is living at 69 Vale Street, Great Marsden Lancashire. The Head of the House is a Mary Ann WOOD, aged 39 a Weaver, born, Milford, Derbyshire, with her is her sister, Annie Caroline BATEMAN, married, aged 27 a weaver, also born Milford, Derbyshire, under her is our Thomas Wheaton BATEMAN, married, son-in-law age 26 a Cotton Weaver, born Somersham, Huntingdonshire. I do not think the relationship is correct, I think is should be brother-in-law. 1901 Census - Thomas is living at 35 Hammond Street, Nelson, Lancashire, he is 36, a Cotton Weaver, born Somersham, Huntingdonshire, his wife Annie C BATEMAN is 37 a Grocer's Shop Keeper, (Own Account) born Milford, Derbyshire. They have a son Harold F BATEMAN, aged 8, born Nelson, Lancashire.
