  1. Robert THORPE has given me all the information on this Chart, so I have copied Peterborough, Northamptonshire from this. However if it is the Peterborough I know it was in Huntingdonshire (1888)  and is now in Cambridgeshire (1982). I cannot find a Peterborough in Northamptonshire but it is fairly close to Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire. Having had further communication with Robert he confirms that there is only one Peterborough, so it is the one that in 2004 is in Cambridgeshire, but was in Huntingdonshire and also Northamptonshire, but is the one and the same Peterborough. I am therefore just leaving it as recorded at the time along with this footnote.
  2. 1901 Census - 70 Russell Street, Peterborough, Northamptonshire.
  3. 1891 Census - 7 Gladstone Street, Peterborough, Northamptonshire. On the 1891 James is down on the Census as Archibald.
  4. Obituary of James Archibald Bellamy -Mr James Bellamy, of 2 Swale Avenue, Peterborough, a former director of Alexander Thomson (Furnishers) Ltd, of Park Road, Peterborough, died in Fenland House on Monday, aged 93. Mr Bellamy was born in Peterborough and was on the staff of the shop when it first
opened. He was a director for many years and worked until he was over 80. He leaves a widow (Grace), a son (Mr John Bellamy, of Maidstone), three
daughters (Mrs Joan Green, of Scotney Street, Mrs Paddy Thorpe, of Iowa, USA, and Mrs Barbara Butler, who lives in Belgium), 11 grandchildren
and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held yesterday at Peterborough crematorium.
  5. 1914 - 37 Baddow Road, Chelmsford, Essex. (Address at Marriage)
  6. 1914 - 43 Fonker? Street, Peterborough, Northamptonshire (Address at Marriage to Annie)
  7. 1923 - 41 Bright Street, Peterborough, Northamptonshire (Address at Marriage)

The idea of these charts is to give the same information that appears in the research we have done and put together in various books. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
