  1. 1871 Census 3 Sawyer Place, St Luke, Finsbury, Middlesex
  2. It is quite likely that there are a lot more children in this family Maurice was born around 1841, the children on the 1871 Census start with Bridget, born about  1851, so at present there is a ten year gap, which as Bridget was 20 any older children would have been likely to have left home. We can assume that Maurice's wife died between 1866 and 1871 as the youngest son is only 5 years old.
  3. On the 1881 Census there was Jessie DIXON   8  F St Lukes, Middlesex, England Adopted Scholar
with Bridget and Thomas. They were by themselves on the 1891 Census
  7. Found this family on the 1861 Census, (RG9/214 Folio 46 Page 30) which answers a lot of the questions we had. Morris BINGHAM head was born in Ireland, which we had suspected, but this is the first real proof of this. His wife's Christian name was Bridget, again the first indication we have had. They were living at 4 Smith Court, St Giles without Cripplegate, Morris was a Sawyer aged 40 born in Ireland, Bridget wife was 38 and born St Luke, Middlesex, Morris son was 19 and a Sawyer, born Cripplegate, James son, (a new addition) was 12 and a Scholar, and born in St Lukes Middlesex, Bridget daughter, age 10, Scholar, born St Lukes, Caroline daughter (another new addition) was 6 a scholar born Cripplegate, London, and Harriet (yet another new addition) daughter age 1 born St Lukes, Middlesex. Which is all fine but where was Celia and Sarah on this Census. Possibly Celia as the same person as Caroline, but it is Sarah we really want to find.
  8. There is a James BINGHAM on the 1871 Census, born and living in St Lukes, Middlesex, married to an Eliza, but he is two year older than he should be if he is our James BINGHAM. however as this would make Eliza older than him it is quite likely he made himself older than he was. They has a daughter Catherine. I have not done anything other than making this note and putting a query marriage on this chart  as I am not certain he is the correct James at the present time. (RG10/ 405 Folio 11 Page 16)
  9. 1851 Census - 30 Reform Place, St Lukes, Middlesex.
  10. My sister points out that as we have two James BINGHAM's it is likely that this one married as I have suggested in Note 8, it is more likely that he died before the second James was born. I cannot confirm a death on BMD for him as there are too many choices.
  11. Having spent some time searching on the various Censuses and the BMD  for Caroline, Celia and Sarah we think it is possible that all three of them are just one person and that she gave different names at different time. On the BMD she appears as Celia.

The idea of these charts is to give the same information that appears in the research we have done and put together in various books. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
