  1. As I have no children down for Lawrence and Emily I have not had to put a chart in for them. As I have more information from the 1891 Census to add, I will therefore do it in Note form. By the 1891 Census Lawrence must have died as Emily is the Head of the Household Age 62 and again down as a Dressmaker. Address 32 Parker Street, West Ham. Living with her were Herbert Thomas FISHER (12) Nephew born Gibraltar, Mary Ann MITCHELL (15) Niece born Plumstead, Kent. There were also three boarders and two lodgers, Sydney Ernest Blake, (33) Engine Smith born London, Matthew Dickie (22) Engine Fitter born Scotland, Kilmarnock, Arthur Critell (18) Carpenter as Boarders and Frederick Tho.? Paynter (19) Wood Turner, Alnwick, Northumberland and Charles Duckhurst (41) Solid Rubber Curer, Manningham, Yorks.
  2. 1841 Census - Browton Place, St Mary, Newington, Surrey. Having found the baptism dates which for six of the children was the same, the 1841 Census is the first clue of which order they were born in. However as the ages could be within the nearest five years especially as they got older, I can put in a sort of order but still not know exactly when they were born. Again they all do not appear on the Census. I also have a problem with the marriage date and the birth of the children and I am beginning to think that the marriage we have is for a second marriage as some of the children according to the 1841 census were born well before the marriage. On the Census the ages are as follow, Emily 20 Richard 15, Lawrence 14, (but placed after Mary)  Jane 12, Mary 10, Alfred 7, Walter 5 and Edward 3. The birth and baptism dates are from the IGI which do not match the information on the Census. Emily both on the IGI and the Census appears to have been born 10 years before Richard and Elizabeth married. The IGI have Richard and Mary Ann born in the same year with only about 6 and a half months between the births, so something wrong with this.
  3. 1871 Census - 3 Garden Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London (Richard is down as being 46 on this Census, so this would make him born in 1825 not 1832 as we have it from the IGI. It is possible therefore that this is not the correct Richard, but there are a lot of questions above about this. I think it is the correct Richard and he was born a lot earlier than shown. I have now found him on the 1851 Census, again born about 1824 and married to a Theodosia Martha, I know she died in 1852, so he married again. Richard and Theodosia had two children on the 1851 Census Richard 3 and John 1, born Southwark, Surrey. This does not explain the Charles born in 1857 on Edermaniger Chart 0502. I also think that Richard Higgs Edermaniger had a previous marriage to the one with Elizabeth Walford above, as we now have a possibility of four children born before they were married, this is already picked up with my note about the 1841 Census. Richard and Theodosia were living at 28 Herberts Road, Southwark on the 1851 Census. It does help in some respects as I keep picking up a Richard EDERMANIGER born 1848 which with the first child of Richard and Theodosia we now have one.
  4. 1851 Census - 16 ????, Old Street, St Lukes, Middlesex. They had three children on this Census, George 5 born Islington, Middlesex, Forties??? 3 born St Andrews, Middlesex and Thomas 1 born St Lukes, Middlesex
  5. South HInksey, Oxfordshire. I am certain this is correct, everything ties up although in Oxfordshire Mary is the correct age and born in Holborn, London. The BMD gave two alternative marriages and Henry PAUL comes ups with Mary on this Census.

The idea of these charts is to give the same information that appears in the research we have done and put together in various books. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
