1891 Census - 127 Lower Paddock Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. Eliza is down as Elizabeth on this Census, the reason I could not find before.

  4. 1861 Census - Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
1871 Census - Popes Lane, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. There is an Emily GRANGE aged 10 with her grandparents John and Hannah DRING on this Census which is all correct. However she is down as being born in Whittlesey but as the later children in the family were born in Whittlesey her grandparents might have thought that she was as well, but she was born in Warboys.
1891 Census - South Side of Mill End, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
1901 Census - Grocers Shop, Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
I received the following on 8th August 2007 from a Mary GOLDSMITH, which explains my doubts about John A GRANGE on the 1891 Census as explained in Note 12 above. On the 1891 he definitely down as son to Edward and Maria: The message received is as follows -John A Grange was the illegitimate son of Emily Grange registered as John Arthur Lilley Grange. he died in the 1st world war and his grave is in Adanac Cemetery France. I have visited the grave as he was one of my elusive relations.
  5. 1871 Census - Horsegate Lane, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire - Edward not at home on his Census.
1881 Census - Paddock Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. I believe the Robert on this Census is the same child as Walter Robert and I have now amended this Chart accordingly.
1891 Census - 24 Sutton Road, Watford, Hertfordshire. George was a boarder with a George COLLINS and family.
1901 Census - 3 Wells Yard, High Street, Watford, Hertfordshire.
  6. 1871 Census - Horsegate Lane, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire - Edward not at home on his Census.
1881 Census - Paddock Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. I believe the Robert on this Census is the same child as Walter Robert and I have now amended this Chart accordingly.
1891 Census - 19 Court 21, High Street, Watford, Hertfordshire
1901 Census - 54 York Road, Watford, Hertfordshire. (see Note 12) I am now certain that this is the correct John, Have found the marriage to Mary Ann CARPENTER, two of the children on this Census have the surname CARPENTER so I would think it was possible that this was Mary's second marriage. Will put a Chart on to show this family.
  7. 1871 Census - Horsegate Lane, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire - Edward not at home on his Census.
1891 Census - 2 Albert Street, St Pancras, Middlesex. Agnes was a General Servant to a Sarah H MASKELL a widow and her two daughters.
1901 Census - 9 Oxley Street, Watford, Hertfordshire
  8. 1871 Census - Horsegate Lane, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire - Edward not at home on his Census.
1881 Census - Paddock Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. I believe the Robert on this Census is the same child as Walter Robert and I have now amended this Chart accordingly.
1891 Census - 20 Pembroke Road, Willesden, Middlesex
1901 Census - 32 Granville Road, Willesden, Middlesex.
  9. 1871 Census - Horsegate Lane, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire - Edward not at home on his Census.
1881 Census - Paddock Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. I believe the Robert on this Census is the same child as Walter Robert and I have now amended this Chart accordingly.
1901 Census - 5 Lammas Road, Watford, Hertfordshire.
  10. 1871 Census - Horsegate Lane, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire - Edward not at home on his Census.
1881 Census - Paddock Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. I believe the Robert on this Census is the same child as Walter Robert and I have now amended this Chart accordingly.
1901 Census - 99 Sutton Road, Watford, Hertfordshire. . Amelia's mother was with them a Susan PIERCE a widow aged 69 born Aldenham, Hertfordshire. They also had a boarder.
  11. 1881 Census - Paddock Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. I believe the Robert on this Census is the same child as Walter Robert and I have now amended this Chart accordingly.

1891 Census - 5a Langley Road, Watford, Hertfordshire. Emmeline is down as Emily on this Census. She is a Servant, aged 15 with John WILLMER and family.

  13. 1881 Census - Paddock Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. I believe the Robert on this Census is the same child as Walter Robert and I have now amended this Chart accordingly.
1891 Census - Vicarage Road, Watford, Hertfordshire. There is a John down as a son born in 1882 on this Census to Edward and Maria above, we have since established that he was actually a son of Emily and he is now shown on HALSEY Chart 0400.
1901 Census - 1 Lamb's Yard, Watford, Hertfordshire. I have put possibly married as Edwin would have only been 17 when he married and 21 in 1901 but on the 1901 Census he is down as being 23, but his wife is 22 so I would think it is correct and he wanted to show that he was older than he was. As he is down as a Greengrocer and that is he occupation of other siblings I am even more certain that it is correct. There are two children

The idea of these charts is to give the same information that appears in the research we have done and put together in various books. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
