  1. Father - John IMPETT - Gardener
  2. 1849 - Parents - George and Ann NORRIS of Southwood, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. Father - Carrier
  3. Both gave address as Grange Road, St. Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent
  4. Father - Tom HOGBIN - Farmer
  5. "All born in St Lawrence at 11 and 12 Harts Terrace - which I believe was their Diary in Grange Road." Information from Gladys WILLIAMS
  6. 1871 Census - Gardeners Lodge to Park Villa, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. (Ancestry.com has them indexed as Timpett)
  7. 1881 Census - 12 Harts Terrace, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. At 11 Harts Terrace was George NORRIS and his wife Ann, so I assume they are the mother and father of Ann IMPETT née NORRIS. We have been told the milk business was at 11 and 12 Harts Terrace so this explains the two addresses. Matilda E NORRIS, daughter aged 23 and Sarah G NORRIS aged 19 Milkman's daughters were with them. George is down as a Master Milkman employing 1 man and 2 boys.
  8. 1891 Census - 11 & 12 Harts Terrace, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. Also with the family was Sarah J NORRIS Age 29 down as a Servant, Mothers Help, born St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent
  9. 1901 Census - 11 Harts Terrace, St Lawrence Ramsgate, Kent
  10. 1861 Census - There is a Charles IMPETT, as a Carter for a Farmer, employing 9 men and three boys. The address is Minster Kent. The head is a Frederick SANKEY, no actual address on census page. There is a David TERRY also a servant Carter at the same address, along with four other servants.
  11. Because Charles was a servant on the 1861 Census I cannot be sure of his family. However there is no doubt about the family for Ann NORRIS, as the known parents are right and Matilda shown in Note 7 is with them as is Ann so I have made a chart for this family.
  12. 1851 Census - Monkton, Kent - Found the family of Charles IMPETT on the 1851 Census, so can now make a Chart for that family. His father was John IMPETT, as we have in Note 1 above, he was 40 an Ag Lab and born in Goodnestone, Kent, his wife was Maria, age 39 born Minster, Kent, their children were, Frances, (daughter) age 12, born Monkton, Kent, Stephen 10 born Monkton, Kent, Henry 8, born Monkton, Kent, then Charles, age 6 born Monkton, Kent, Ann age 4 born Monkton, Kent and finally Isaac, age 2 born Monkton, Kent. This should allow us to find this family on later Censuses.
  13. 1861 Census - Family for the father of Charles, see Note 12 for 1851 Census - Looks like Dunken Hill, Monkton, Kent. John is a Shepherd, aged 49, born Goodnestone, Kent, his wife Maria is 48 a Shepherd wife, born Minster, Kent. All the children are born in Monkton and are as follows: Thomas age 24 Brewer, Ann 14 House Servant, Isaac 11 Scholar, Jane 9 Scholar, James 6 Scholar, Maria 2 months. So a lot more children.
  14. 1871 Census - John is a Widower, a Gardener, down as born in Godstone but this should be Goodnestone. He is 59 and down as Gardener. The only child with his is Ann who is down as Ann Miles IMPETT, age 24 which ties up with the Ann on the 1861 Census. she was born in Monkton and is down as a Dressmaker. I am surprised there are no other children as if Maria had survived she would only be 10 years old. He is now living in St Lawrence, Kent. (I checked on a Maria IMPETT and have found her living with her sister, Frances who had married a Charles LEWIS, they had had four children by the 1871 Census.
  15. The BMD has this marriage down as Edith Kate, information given to me say it was Ethel.
  16. 1901 Census - 4 Adelphi Terrace, St Lawrence Intra, Ramsgate, Kent. This census shows Annie as being born in Ireland but the marriage tie up with the information I had although I had the name down as GUMMANT not GRUMMANT, the age for Annie is correct, so I think it is the correct couple. No children on this Census.

The idea of these charts is to give the same information that appears in the research we have done and put together in various books. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
