  1. 1840 1 Short Street, Marylebone, Middlesex
  2. 1861 Census - 153 St John Road, Hoxton Old Town, Shoreditch, Middlesex. This was the only NOONE I could find on the 1861 Census from the names above that seemed to match. I am happy that this is the correct George as he had his mother Mary NOONE living with him. George is correct age (40) and born in Marylebone Middlesex, which is where his sister Caroline was born so happy with that. Mary NOONE was born in Reading, Berkshire, she is down as being 62 which is not quite the age we had but I would think the original age came off the 1841 Census and this did vary for age within 5 years. She is down as being a ?ool Maker employing 1 person. I cannot see the first letter as there is a thick line through it, so could be T or W or any other suggestions. George has no occupation which seems strange, so it is possible that the occupation should be for him as he was a Toolmaker in 1841. Also living with them, which might give us another lead with this family, is a Mary NESBIT, niece, age 7 a Scholar born Shoreditch, Middlesex. She must be a child I would think of Mary NOONE as this is the only other girl we have in the family other than Caroline who we know married James Randall CROSS. This is even more possible as I notice one of the witnesses at the wedding of Caroline NONE and James Randall CROSS was a Mary NESBIT
  3. 1871 Census - A little bit of confusion over George. It is definitely the same George NOONE on the 1861 and 1871 Census. He is living at the same address. He is ten years older on the 1871 Census and he is a Tool Maker. However on the 1871 he is married, which is fine, but his children are George NOONE 18 an India Rubber Worker, born Finsbury, Middlesex  and Alfred NOONE 16 born Bishopgate, Middlesex which means they were born before the 1861 Census and it appears on the 1861, although not all that clear that they have put in Unm which means he was not married then. The only suggestion I have is that he married Catherine his wife between 1861 and 1871 and she had already been married and had two sons and possibly his wife did the Census return and said they were sons and were put down as NOONE not her first married name. Continuing this saga I have looked on the BMD site and found a marriage for George NOONE which I am certain is the correct one in December quarter 1866. But the surprise is he married a Catherine NOONE. So now my thinking is that one of his brothers, John, Robert, William or Charles died and he married their wife and took on the children. Still continuing, I notice on my original Chart that I had John NOONE the eldest son as being born in 1821, and this is what we had in our original information of December 1894, but this is the same birth year as George. It is possible that this was wrong and John was born earlier. On the 1861 Census I searched for Catherine NOONE and found a Catherine NOONE born 1822 Marylebone, London, wife, married to a John M NOONE born 1818, in Marylebone, London. The children were George and Alfred which confirms at least that it is the same Catherine who I have found on the 1871 Census. I will make a Chart for George and John to show the situation as I now have it. I also have the maiden name of Catherine as her mother was living with John and Catherine on the 1861 Census. She was a WATKINS. I cannot find a marriage on BMD for a John NOONE to a Catherine WATKINS.
  4. 1861 Census - 3a James Street, Portman, Marylebone, Middlesex. John M NOONE was 43 a Coach Trimmer, born St Clements Danes, Catherine NOONE was his wife, she was 39 a Needlewoman, born Marylebone, Middlesex. There sons were George NOONE, age 8, a Scholar, born Finsbury, Middlesex and Alfred NOONE age 6 a Scholar, born City, Middlesex. Living with the was Jane WATKINS, mother-in-law, age 78 a Monthly Nurse, born Surrey.
  5. This marriage shows on Pallot's Marriage Index - June 1816
  6. IGI Baptism. Parents given as John and Mary NOONE which is correct. I had John M NOONE, but this could be just the 1861 Census not showing it correct. Also I had birth 1818 but this was just my calculation from age given on 1861 Census. As Baptism was in St Clements and at the latter end of 1817 I think this is the correct Baptism.
  7. IGI Baptism. Parents given as John and Mary NOONE which is correct. Date around correct, Paddington in possibly the right area as we do not know if they moved around, but although the first child was born in St Clement's Danes we know the last was in the Marylebone area so it is more than likely that the Paddington area was a possible area they were living.
  8. IGI Baptism. Parents given as John and Mary NOONE which is correct. Not the correct date, but possibly not Baptised to 1827 at the same time as his brother Robert.
  9. IGI Baptism. Parents given as John and Mary NOONE which is correct. Did not at first give me an exact search as you have to have it exactly right and the second name was not in.
  10. 1851 Census - 29 Church Street? (Church street crossed through at top of page, the word Stabling also appears down the page ie 29 Stabling, but this is also crossed though) Marylebone, Middlesex. Charles appears on the next page and he is down as son, spelling changes over page and he is down as NOON not NOONE, there are also two lodgers with the family, again over the page the addresses are crossed through. It does confirm this child as belonging to this family, see Note 7 and also George see Note 8,
  11. 1861 Census -  2 Upper Bridport street, Marylebone, Middlesex, again this could be wrong as this also has crossing through the addresses, but the birth place of their daughter states she was born in Upper Bridport Street. Robert was married to a Susan who was five years older than him. They have a three week old daughter, Susan born Upper Bridport Street, Marylebone, Middlesex
  12. 1871 Census - 91 Derby Buildings, Wicklow Street, Pancrasweek, London
  13. 1861 Census - 7 Alfred Place, Kent Road, Southwark, London
  14. 1881 Census -  2 Templeton Road, Islington London

The idea of these charts is to give the same information that appears in the research we have done and put together in various books. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
