1851 High Street, Somersham, Huntingdonshire. Also at the same address was James BATEMAN, father, Age 69 years, widower, Ag Lab, infirm parish relief and George PAXTON, brother? Age 17 years Ag Lab born Somersham, Huntingdonshire 1871 Census - Dean Road, Newchurch, Lancashire I have found Mary on the 1881 Census after searching for her children having found the family on the 1891 Census. She is down as being born in Amersham, Huntingdonshire, but when you look at it is Somersham, and of course Amersham in not in Huntingdonshire. She was Head on the 1891 Census, so her husband had died. Firstly Note 10 deals with the 1881 Census and then I will add Note 11 for the 1891 Census and will at some time add a new chart for this family. Living at St John ???, Barrowford Booth, Lancashire. William NUTTALL was 36, a Carter, born Burnley, Lancashire, his wife Mary NUTTALL was 36 (Carters wife crossed through) born Somersham, Huntingdonshire, their children were Ellen A NUTTALL aged 8 Scholar, born Burnley, Lancashire, Ellis (s0n) age 7 Scholar, born Burnley, Lancashire, May H NUTTALL aged 4 Scholar, born Nelson, Lancashire, Alice NUTTALL, age 2 born Barrowford, Lancashire and Sarah NUTTALL aged 1 also born Barrowford, Lancashire. 1891 Census - 14 Halshead Lane, Barrowford, Lancashire. Mary NUTTALL, was Head, a Widow, aged 46 born Somersham, Huntingdonshire, her children were, Ellen A NUTTALL, aged 18 a Cotton weaver, born Burnley, Lancashire, Ellis NUTTALL, son aged 17 a Cotton Weaver, born Burnley, Lancashire, May H NUTTALL, aged 14 a Cotton Weaver, born Nelson, Lancashire, Alice NUTTALL, aged 12 a Cotton Weaver, born Barrowford, Lancashire, Sarah NUTTALL, aged 10, a Cotton Weaver, born Barrowford, Lancashire, Margaret NUTTALL, aged 7 a Scholar, born Barrowford, Lancashire. And just to prove I have the right family there was a Sarah BATEMAN, niece aged 2, born Dean, Lancashire. 1901 Census - 5 Grove Street, Barrowford, Lancs, Mary was 56 a widow living on her own means and born in Somersham, Huntingdonshire. The rest of the family were all Cotton Weavers. On this Census there was Ellis, 27 born Burnley, Lancashire, Alice, 22, born Barrowford, Lancs and Margaret, 17 also born Barrowford. I had information on the 24th July 2006 for a Merv HUNT in Australia regarding Ellis NUTTALL who he says emigrated to Australia as shown above. They had several children but the eldest Frank Nuttall married in 1926 in Beverley WA
