1871 Census - Village, Felsted, Essex 1901 Barge House Terrace, Woolwich, London. Chart needed, three children on this Census, Lily E, aged 13, Grace C, aged 12 and Eva M, aged 11 all born West Ham, Essex 1871 Census - 26 Hoy? Street, West Ham, Essex 1881 Census - 2 Cedar Terrace, West Ham, Essex. 1861 Census - 6 Emily Street, West Ham, Essex. Jane is down as being born in Elith? Essex. This looks like Erith but that is in Kent. Cannot find a marriage on the BMD that matches this couple. I did think that as the first child was born in Kent is was possible they married there but cannot find any marriage around the period of the first child. Tried all of the James POULTER's on the BMD, but of course the spelling of POULTER could be wrong. The marriage of James POULTON to Caroline DACKOMBE comes up on the search for POULTER. This couple are a direct are Great Grandparents of my wife and are definitely POULTON, so quite likely James POULTER could be down incorrectly. 1851 Census - London Road, Dagenham Parish, Dagenham, Essex. Caroline is down as being born in Dartford, Kent on this census, Jane as being born in Hutton, Essex. There is another child Charles aged 4 born in Bromley, Kent. 1841 Census - Stock Farm, Hutton, Essex. Father, Joseph POULTER aged 60 an Agricultural Labourer, no mother. a sister Emily aged 8. Do not intend going any further with this family
