  16. 1901 Census - Woodlands Farms, Oakwood Hill, Abinger, Surrey. Alfred had a large family on the 1901 Census, which is the first I looked at, then found he was married in 1880 so will now look at 1881 and 1891 Censuses. In 1901 Alfred was a Farmer as we had been told at Oakwood Hill, Abinger, he was 43 and born in Ewhurst, Surrey. His wife Emily was also 43 and born in Leigh, Surrey. The children were Edith 19 born Newdigate, Surrey, Frank 15 Farmer's son, born Wotton, Surrey, Leonard 13 Farmer's son born Wotton, Surrey, Ethel M 7 born Wotton, Surrey, Alfred C, age 5 born Wotton, Surrey, Albert 1 born Wotton, Surrey. That was the order the children were in on the Census, then there are two daughter put after this list which were Jessica 11 born Wotton, Surrey and Louisa 9 born Wotton, Surrey. There were two farm servants as well.
  17. 1891 Census - Cottage, Ewhurst Green, Ewhurst, Surrey
  18. 1901 Census - The Green, Ewhurst, Surrey
  19. 1881 Census - Hamlet, Batts Farms, Newdigate, Surrey. There was a Frank STEMP, as a servant (no relationship indicated) who was an Ag Lab, age in the female position has been crossed through, but it said 17. The occupation Ag Lab in door has also been crossed though and replaced with Farm Labourer, birth place given as Ewhurst, Surrey. Next door (above on the Census) there is a family with the surname of PESCUD, as it is such an unusual name I would think it was the family of Emily. Their address is Hamlet, Blanks Farm, Newdigate, Surrey. The Head is a Charles PESCUD aged57 a Farmer of 20 acres, born Leigh, Surrey and his wife is Rhoda, aged 54 born Leigh, Surrey. Children with them were Eliza 17, Jane 13 a Scholar, Edwin 11 a Scholar, all children to this point born in Leigh, Surrey, then there is a Charles who is married and down as a son he appears to be 32 a Stoop Maker and born in Horley, Surrey, his wife is Sarah aged 34 born in Ramsbury Wiltshire and then they have a son Charles aged 1 born in Croydon, Surrey.
  20. 1891 Census - Woodlands Farm, Abinger, Surrey. Children - Edith E 9 born Newdigate, Surrey, George 7 born Wotton, Surrey, Frank 5 born Wotton, Surrey, Leonard 3 born Wotton, Surrey, Jessica 1 born Wotton, Surrey, then there are the following servants, Esther LUCAS aged 14 a Domestic born Leigh, Surrey, James TICKNER, aged 56 an Ag Lab born Leigh, Surrey and Henry SHEET aged 15 an Ag Lab born Shere, Surrey.
  21. Had a Farm. Lived Oakwood  Hill, Surrey

(Mark married Leith STEMP on the Chart above in 1899)

The idea of these charts is to give the same information that appears in the research we have done and put together in various books. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
