  1. 1851 27 Queen Street, Ramsgate, Kent
1861 22 Queen Street, Ramsgate, Kent Living with Baker and Family
    1869 Knight Street, Ramsgate, Kent
1871 102 King Street, (next to Plough Inn) Harriett ? HOLLANDS from St Peters, Age 21 = Servant in TERRY home. Brother Morris TERRY living at same address
1880 US Census - Springport, Cayuga, New York, USA
  2. 1881 Census
1891 Census - 48 King Street, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent
1894 1 Central Road, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent
1901 Census - 3 Hector Villas, St Lukes Avenue, St Lawrence Intra, Kent. Down as Fanny HARLAND, she was with her daughter Florence HARLAND née TERRY and is down as Mother-in-Law, so I think it should be TERRY/WELLS/HARRISON but definitely not HARLAND. We think that this might actually be Fanny HARLAND the mother of James as he was not at home, so possible that Fanny gave details to enumerator and that she stated correctly mother-in-law for his mother. In which case the details for this Census for Fanny would be incorrect. I cannot find a Fanny HARRISON on the 1901 Census. Again, if correct her husband had died, if it was Fanny HARLAND it is possible that Edward was still alive, I cannot find a death, but I also cannot find him on the 1901 Census.
Father - Samuel SPICER - Farm Labourer
  3. 1881 Census -3 Thornton Road, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent
1891 Census -48 King Street, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent

1900 US Census - Springport, Cayuga, New York, Roll T623 1013 Page 1B Enumeration District 42
1910 US Census - Cleveland Ward 26, Cuyahoga, Ohio. There is a Joseph F KEWEY? aged 29 down as a son born Connecticut, USA a Drug Clerk in a Store - I cannot see how he can be a son of Mary with a different surname, who was younger than the eldest son Henry
  6.
  7. 1881 Census
1891 Census - 48 King Street, Ramsgate, Kent. Florence and her sister were shown with the surname WELLS.
1901 Census - 3 Hector Villas, St Lukes Avenue, St Lawrence Intra, Kent. Living with her married sister Florence and her husband and son and her mother who is down as Fanny HARLAND but is down as mother-in-law.
1903 At marriage -3 Hector Villas, St Lukes Avenue, Ramsgate, Kent
1911 Census - "Pride of the Ocean" West Side of Newhaven Harbour, Sussex. James HARLAND was with him, his brother in law. Florence married James, her sister Fanny married Walter. there was another crew member a Richard LEWIS born in Kentish Town, London. 1911 Census - 61 St Lukes Avenue Ramsgate, Kent. Fanny is down as wife but her husband is not with her, she has a son, Arthur John WESLEY born 1905 School, Ramsgate, Kent.
  8. 1881 3 Thornton Road, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. Head of House was Lewis K WELLS, with wife Fanny WELLS and daughters
Fanny and Florence WELLS.  Florence also used the WELLS name when she married, although her sister married
as Fanny TERRY. Both Florence and Fanny married after the death of Lewis WELLS.
1891 Census - 48 King Street, Ramsgate, Kent. Florence and her sister were shown with the surname WELLS.
1901 Census - 3 Hector Villas, St Lukes Avenue, St Lawrence Intra, Kent. With the HARLAND family was Florence's sister Fanny and her mother Fanny. her mother is down as Fanny HARLAND (see note 2)
1911 Census - 63 St Lukes Avenue Ramsgate. James HARLAND is not with his wife, but she is down as married and as a wife, so assume he was at sea.
1911 Census - 63 St Lukes Avenue Ramsgate. James HARLAND is not with his wife, but she is down as married and as a wife, so assume he was at sea. On the 1911 Census they ask for number of children living and died, Ronald is not on this Census, but one child is down as died, it could be Ronald. 1911 Census - "Pride of the Ocean" West Side of Newhaven Harbour, Sussex. Walter WESLEY was with him, his brother in law. Florence married James, her sister Fanny married Walter. there was another crew member a Richard LEWIS born in Kentish Town, London.
  9. 1880 US Census - Springport, Cayuga, New York, USA
1900 US Census - Springport, Cayuga, New York, Roll T623 1013 Page 1B Enumeration District 42
1910 US Census - Cleveland Ward 26, Cuyahoga, Ohio
1920 US Census - Lansing Ward 7, Ingham, Michigan. It appears that Henry had remarried and was living in Michigan. His wife must have been a widow as there three children with the surname BRYAN, Alma 21, Gladys 19 and Pearl 18 all born Michigan, Alma and Gladys are Stenographers.
1930 US Census - Lansing, Ingham, Michigan. With the family was Gordon L BRYAN aged 9 Grandson, born Michigan, USA. There was also a Roomer with the family.
  10. 1880 Springport, Cayuga, New York, USA (When age suggested he had been born in 1877)
1910 US Census - Cleveland Ward 14, Cuyahoga, Ohio, USA
1920 US  Census - 119 Earle Avenue, Cuyahoga, Ohio, USA. - I already knew he had a daughter, see above chart but I have found a lot more family on the 1920 US Census. I will add a new Chart for this family at a later date. There was Alfred, age 46, his wife Lulu age 36 born Canada, Margaret, daughter, age 18 born Ohio, USA, Bernadette daughter, age 9 born Ohio, USA, Patricia, daughter, age 5 born Ohio, USA, and Helen age 1 and 6/12 born Ohio, USA.  There is a lot of information on the US Censuses and I have only put the basic details with this note. As we can now get into Ancestry.com for the US Censuses I will slowly work through and update and give the full details.

    Information about Leon Mark TERRY
He was a family man and definitely head of the house. He could touch his nose with this tongue, much to the delight of his grandchildren. Fortunately, no one inherited his nose. He owned and operated his own country store and also worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company.
  15. 1900 US Census - Springport, Cayuga, New York, Roll T623 1013 Page 1B Enumeration District 42
  16. 1900 US Census - Springport, Cayuga, New York, Roll T623 1013 Page 1B Enumeration District 42
1910 US Census - Cleveland Ward 26, Cuyahoga, Ohio
1910 US Census - Cleveland Ward 26, Cuyahoga, Ohio
1920 US Census -East Cleveland Ward 3, Cuyahoga, Ohio
1930 US Census - Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. Alice is not down as a widow, in fact she was first down as wife which has been crossed through and married substituted, so I would think her husband Charles was still alive but he was not with the family at the time of the Census.
(Having found that Alice was not married in 1910 and we had the two children down as being born between 1900 and 1910 I looked on the 1920 and found the family - with no Dorothia, but certain correct family as there is the son down as C Draper VAUGHN. Alice born correctly in New York  with parents born in England, so information we had was incorrect.)

The idea of these charts is to give the same information that appears in the research we have done and put together in various books. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
