    1881 Census - Hillside House, St Peters, Broadstairs, Kent. Mary Ann TERRY unmarried needlewoman Age 63 (born 1818) Ramsgate, was a visitor to Elizabeth CURRY, an annuitant, who had four members of her family living with her. There were two boarders and four servants.

    On the 1861 Census there is a Thomas M TERRY living at Bedford Square, Mile End, Stepney, Middlesex. He is the correct age but his wife is an Emma E TERRY, he is 35 and she is 20, and looking at Note 4 above for his known wife Sarah Priscilla it is quite possible, that somehow he married again. He was also a Mariner which fits. He was born in Ramsgate, and a nephew, Thomas TERRY aged 22 a Journeyman Brewer born also in Ramsgate, was with them. This also ties up as the Thomas Terry on Terry Chart 0500 would be of this age and one of his occupations was a Brewer. So I think it is the right Thomas M Terry. Also living with them was a Alfred C STAMFORD, brother-in-law who was only 5 so I would think the brother of Emma E TERRY, he was born in Beccles Suffolk. Emma was born in London, Middlesex. There were lots of lodgers as well.
    1871 Census, I cannot find Thomas Terry on this Census, but an Emma E TERRY was a visitor, to 2 Tredegar Road, St Mary le Bow, Stratford, London, correct age as Note 8 and born London, Middlesex. So I would suggest this is the same person. Lots of people in house, but none seem to be related to our families.
    On the 1891 Census Thomas Morris TERRY is shown to be in the Isle of Thanet Union Workhouse. With him are two James TERRY's, the ages are difficult to see but on Ancestry.com on there own listings they are shown as being 66 and 46. Although no match can be made at present for the 66 year old one, James Terry (see Terry Chart 0403) 46 ties up with the James on that chart. In the 1901 Census again James does not appear and Eliza is put down as Wife of Head. So perhaps James was still in the Workhouse then.
    Thomas Morris is shown as being 65 years old.
