  2. 1901 Census - 37 Baddow Road, Chelmsford, Essex (details)
  3. No trace of Frederick James on either 1891 or 1901 Census, as Annie was born only two months after marriage is was unlikely that he was before Annie. It is of course possible he was born after 1901.  Have now been told he was the third child, so have moved to this position. 
  4. On the 1891 Census there was living with Frederick and Emily, his mother Mary THOROGOOD, Widow, Retired Publican, Age 67 and she was born at Boreham, Essex
  5. Robert Thorpe has contacted me and feels that the address on the 1891 should read White House Farm, not Whale as I have it above.
  6. 1881 Baddow Road, Chelmsford, Essex. Frederick was a visitor with a Hannah HAWKES, who was a widow, aged 45 a Charwoman, born Baddow, Essex. She has six children with her. 
  7. 1881 Census for Emily only, RG11 1813/5 On the 1881 Census Emily was  a Housemaid (Domestic) Aged 20 at Bickners, Barnston, Essex. 
  8. 1871 Census - Village, Felsted, Essex, 
  9. Address given at death - 1943 - 150 Baddow Road, Chelmsford, Essex.
