  2. Father - Henry TICKNER - Labourer
  3. 1871 Census - The Green, Ewhurst, Surrey. Edith was only 18 on this Census.
  4. 1881 Census - Brooklands Road, Weybridge, Surrey - Mark was 34 a Labourer, born Rudgewick, Surrey, Edith was 29 born Ewhurst, Surrey. Their children were Walter, age 6 born Dorking, Surrey, Emily, age 4 born Dorking, Surrey and Ernest age 1 born Weybridge, Surrey.
  5. 1891 Census - Gordon Road, Thames Ditton, Surrey - Mark was 44 and down as born in Ewhurst on this census. Edith was 38 a Laundress, born Ewhurst, Surrey. Their children were Walter, 16 a Page Boy, born Dorking, Surrey, Emily, 14, born Dorking, Surrey, Ernest 11 Scholar, born Weybridge, Surrey, and Edith 6 born Claygate, Surrey.
  6. 1901 Census - 1 Claremont Villas, Hare Lane, Claygate, Surrey - Edith age 16 is the only child still at home, 16, born Claygate, Surrey
  7. Lived in Claygate, Surrey
  8. 1901 Census - 32 May Street, Fulham, London. With Walter and Elizabeth, was a Charles ROSE, brother-in-law, aged 29 (28), a Clerk Commercial, born Addlestone, Surrey. (this gives us the maiden name of Elizabeth.
  9. 1901 Census - 156 London Road, Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey. Ernest was a Boarder with a Charles HAYWOOD, aged 34 a Grocer's Manager, born Coldridge, Devon, his wife and children and four other Grocer's Assistants.
