    Brother could be James, with wife Ellen. James was also a Blacksmith. Children, baptised in Cranley, were James Henry (4th September 1879) William Robert (7th September 1873) and Albert (13th June 1875)

    1901 Lynwick Street, Rudgwick, Sussex. The road is now named "Lynwick Street" and this is how is appears in the Burial Register. However, when the the Baptism registers were read it looked liked "Lyerwick Street". As this was the information acquired from the different registers at the time the two versions of the name have been included here. Further research is necessary.

    parish with no success. However, the following was found on the 1881 Census Index for Surrey:
    Ruth WALLER, single unmarried Age 17 years born Rudgwick, Sussex was a General Servant to John I ADAMS (55) retired farmer born Buckinghamshire and his wife Juliet (56)  born Clifton, Bristol.
    1885 Newdigate, Surrey.  Ruth's sister was in service in Newdigate in 1881.
    1891 65 Stewards Road, Battersea, London RG12/426 Folio 133/34 Page 36/37. Living with them was Ruth's sister, Agnes

    1901 31 Praire Street, Battersea, Surrey. Boarding with them was Charles COURT (36) Railway Engine Driver born Faversham, Kent
    1935 Address probably 6, Main Street, Sydney, Crewe, Cheshire, where telegrams for Frederick and Winifred (née COBB) WILTON were sent on the 4th September 1935. Winifred WILTON née COBB, Erica SMALE née WILTON, Agnes Olive POWELL née COBB, Olive Kathleen TERRY née POWELL, John TERRY and Jean WHEATON née TERRY spent time at this address during the war
