• The connection to the TERRY family is through my sister Jean K WHEATON, née TERRY The mother of her husband Dennis Ian WHEATON was Gladys May CROSS, born 15th May 1911.
• The parents of Gladys May CROSS were William CROSS born 15th April 1872 at 132 De Beauvoir Road, Hackney and Florence JEWELL, born on the 6th November 1874 in Islington, London. They married on 22nd September 1894 at St Marks, Dalston, London.
  The children of William Cross and Florence Jewell were as follows:
  William Herbert, born 3rd July 1895, Dalston, married Florence PETIT
  George Ernest, born 18th October 1897, Dalston, married Louise Susan NORRIS
  Harold Victor, born 25th August 1899, Dalston, married Gladys Emily WILLIAMS
  Lilian Florence Jewell, born 22nd July 1901, Dalston
  Edith Irene, born 7th August 1904, married William Ernest SPITTLE
  Gladys May, born 15th May 1911, Dalston, married Eric William WHEATON

• The next generation back sees James Randall CROSS, born 9th July 1837 in Banwell, Somerset, marrying on 12th July 1858 at St John, Haggerston, Middlesex, Caroline NOONE, who was born on 5th February 1840 in Marylebone, Middlesex

  Caroline Elizabeth, born 18th April 1859, died 11th July 1859
  Caroline (Carrie) born 1st February 1861, Hackney, married Alfred James MARSON
  James (Jim) Randall, born 23rd September 1862, Hoxton, married Kate SAVILL
