Please note this information, and the same for the 1851 Census, came from photostats of the census supplied to me by Brenda Andrew. Therefore the information I have given is as it appears, you will note if you compare the two that there are a number of discrepancies between the two. Arabella seems to have died. George D did not appear on the 1851 Census so we assume he must have been Daniel George. Robert the last person on this list for some reason should, if he was the Robert Joseph on the 1851 Census be 18 not 15. (Since writing this I find in my information on Brother Keeper I have both these children, Daniel George and Robert Joseph, so I now just assume that Daniel George was either not at home or had left home by the 1861 Census) When you come to birth place there are also changes from one Census to the next. Brenda says she was very lucky to find these two censuses. We had an idea that this family was in Farnborough for a while, but had no idea they lived in Stepney, north of the River Thames, as we have always assumed that the Dackombe's lived mainly in the Walworth area, where most of this family was born. |
