DACKOMBE FAMILY
The Dackombe's of Chelworth 
(Chilworth), Hampshire

Dackombes held the manor and lands in Chilworth and Mainsbridge, Hampshire. About 1365-1372 the manor of Chilworth was conveyed by Thomas Tyrell, Knt. of Essex to John Dackombe in whose family the manor remained for the next 160 years. A John Dackombe sold the manor 1537-1540 to John Dowse.

In 1390 a John Dackombe was attacked by six men at or near Chilworth, and died from his wounds.

In 1471 Christiana, relict of John Dackombe, Gentleman, of Chilworth died with will.
