This will is relatively easy to read and is quite interesting. William was the son of Nicholas and Melior Dackombe and did not marry. His Will leaves numerous sums of money to lots of people but no relations as far as I can tell are mentioned.
In the name of God Amen I William Dackombe of St Giles in the Fields? being in perfect mind and sound memory do make this my Will in manner and forme following And for the settling and disposing of what it hath please God to bless me with all in thro world I settle and dispose as followeth And first of all I give and bequeath unto the Hospital of Saint Bartholomew ??? West Smythfield London the sum of one hundred pounds for the use of the poor of the same Hospital Item I give and bequeath to the poor of the ??? in the parish of St Clements Danes in the County of Middlesex the sum of ten pounds Item I give and bequeath unto the poor of the parish of St Giles in the Fields the sum of ten pounds Item I give unto Mrs Elizabeth James of Castle Ashby in the County Northampton fifty shillings Item I give unto Mrs Ursula Girard of the same place fifty shillings Item I give unto Elizabeth Gibson the older of the same place forty shillings Item I give unto Margarett Richardson of the same place widow thirty shillings Item I give unto June Biracford? of the same place widow the sum of thirty shillings Item I give and bequeath unto Mr John Hatt? of the parish of Blunham? in the County of Bedford five pounds to buy him a ring? Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Thomas Pearson in the Savoy parish in the County of Middlesex five pounds to buy him a ring Item I give and bequeath unto Mrs Sarah Stilson? now living with the Honourable the Countess of Northampton the sum of five pounds to buy a ring Item I give and bequeath unto Sarah Greenham now living with the Honourable the Countess of Northamton the sum of fifty shillings Item I give and bequeath unto Mr William James now living with the Honourable the Countess of Northampton the sun of ten pounds Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Rubens Stazier? of the parish of St Giles the sum f five pounds Item I give further unto my before mentioned loving friend Mr William James the further sum of ten pounds being in all twenty pounds. Item I give unto Elizabeth Simpson servant to the before named Mr Harwork? five pounds to buy her m???ing To the rest and residue of my estate after my debts legacies and funeral charges paid according to the true intent and meaning of this my will I give and bequeath unto Mr Mathew Horlew and Mr Thomas ?aro?? whome I make my Executors of this my will revoking all former wills in any kind whatsoever But further I give unto Mrs June Baxwell? in Baldsomes?
