A brief resume of the POWELL line in a direct line from myself John TERRY, is as follows:

My mothers father was Albert Ernest POWELL, born 3rd February 1886 at 10 Morrison Street, Battersea, Surrey. His occupation was a Printing Machine Operator. He died on 14th March 1956 at 74 Tudor Avenue, Worcester Park, Surrey. His wife was Agnes Olive COBB whom he married on 18th August 1907 at St Philip, Battersea, London.

The children of Albert were as follows:
Olive Kathleen, born 14th September 1908, Tooting, married Charles Fraser TERRY
Charles Ernest, born 14th September 1908, Tooting, died 8th November 1908

The father of Albert was Charles Henry POWELL, born 30th January 1846 at 2 Greencoat Cottages, Tothill Fields, Westminster, Middlesex. He died on 22nd December 1919 at Guys Hospital, London due to fracture of skull caused by a fall from roof to ground below whilst employed at brewery. He married Matilda Rachel GEORGE on 23rd August 1874 at St James, Bermondsey.
The children of Charles were as follows:
Selina (Sissie) Florence, born 22nd December 1874, Bermondsey, married Alfred James MARSHALL
Matilda Jane, born 6th April 1877, Battersea, married George Edwin WILTON
Charlotte Alice, born 3rd April 1879, Battersea, married Frederick William JUDGE
Charles William, born 9th June 1881, Battersea, married Julia Elizabeth CHASE
Albert Ernest, born 3rd February 1886, Battersea, married Agnes Olive COBB.

The father of Charles was a James POWELL, who was baptised on 12th July 1807 at St Mary, Reigate, Surrey, he married a Harriett Welbey SANDFORD on 29th April 1829 at St George, Hanover Square, Westminster, Middlesex

His father was a Thomas POWELL born in 1770, probably at Buckland, Surrey. He married a Hannah BURCHAL/BOURCHALL on 21st October 1794 at St Mary the Virgin, Buckland, Surrey.
