Whoever said that football is a game of two halves could well have been talking about this game played at Victoria Road. Playing against a very determined 10 man Aztec team, the Daggers totally dominated the first half creating a host of chances and forcing the Aztec to play almost entirely on the edge of their own area. However, despite all the pressure the home team had to be content with just a slender half-time lead thanks to a Robert Leigh penalty awarded when a goal bound shot from Scott Thorne was punched clear by a defender. Aztec came out "fired up" for the 2nd half and it wasn't long before a speculative shot somehow found it's way in to level the scores. At this point Dagenham & Redbridge began to lose their shape and with Aztec pressing a fine finish from the edge of the box saw them claim all 3 points.
