Dagenham's final game of the season was played in bright sunshine on a hot day for probably the first time this season. Once again they started brightly forcing Barn Sports to defend deep in their own half and creating some good early chances. Daggers pressure finally paid off half way through the half as Pomper capitalised on a lapse in the home defence to fire home. The Dagenham pressure continued right through the first half, but as has happened on many occasions this season they were unable to "kill off" their opposition. Barn came out with a flourish in the 2nd half and almost drew level immediately, only a good save from Gillham saving the day. It wasn't long before Barn did equalise though and a home win looked on the cards, however, Daggers rolled up their sleeves to battle to gain a well deserved point and end their season with just 2 defeats from their final seven games.

In what has been a very stop/start season, which saw no less than 11 games called off through the weather (and even 1 through the petrol shortage!), the boys have "hopefully" and justafiably retained their place in the 'A' division for next season.
