This match was played in appalling conditions, with a freezing pitch, cold wind and driving rain making for arctic conditions. Great credit must be given to both teams for not only managing to get the match played, but also with the spirit with which they played it. Barn Sports with the wind at their backs had the majority of the play in the first half and unsurprisingly turned round 2 goals to the good. The 2nd half was a complete reversal of the 1st with Dagenham now pushing forward at every opportunity. Daggers goal came midway through the half when K.Courtney found the back of the net after a fine set-up. Ten minutes from the end Dagenham were awarded a penalty after a run from the halfway line saw D.Wiffin brought down in the area. However, a great save by the Barn keeper saw the penalty turned over the bar, and then just to rub salt in the wound Barn Sports scored a 3rd goal against the run of play.
