For the second time in a month Dagenham & Redbridge U11's found themselves up against the unbeaten league leaders and once again gave them a scare. Celtic seemed intent to ensure that last month's close game would not be repeated as they raced into an early two-goal lead. However the Daggers are made of sterner stuff and gradually clawed their way back into the game. As they began to gain the upper hand Daggers passing game ensured that chances began to be made. With minutes left to half-time debutant R.Leigh crossed from the left for P.O'Driscoll to slot home and halve the deficit. Dagenham started the second half as they had ended the first and were level within five minutes with O'Driscoll adding his second. Just as it seemed that Dagenham would go on to become the first team to beat Celtic Boys this season, they were caught by a sucker punch with fifteen minutes to go. Despite this the boys refused to be beaten and launched another series of attacks. From one of these a quick break led to Celtic's fourth goal, this knocked the "stuffing" from Dagenham and two very late goals somewhat flattered the visitors. Celtic's manager made a point of shaking all the boys hands at the end of the game, telling them that "our two games against Dagenham & Redbridge have been our hardest of the season".
