Any thoughts Daggers may have had about an easy game were soon dispelled against 10 man Sarvic. Despite a K.Courtney goal inside the first minute, Dagenham had to fight every inch of the way against a bigger and more physical Sarvic side. After the dream start the boys were pinned back into their own half for long spells and had several fine saves by L.Gillham to thank for keeping the score at 1-0 until half time. Sarvic continued to be the stronger team in the 2nd half and finally got the goal their endevors deserved midway through the half. The match was played on a very muddy pitch and both teams seemed to be bogged down in what was turning into an excellent cup tie. Extra time saw Sarvic finally able to field 11 men, but this seemed to have an unsettling effect on them as Daggers enjoyed their best spell of the game, however we had to wait for 2 minutes before the end of the game before P.O'Driscoll fired home the match winning goal, much to the delight of a sizable D&R contingent (thanks to everyone who attended). Having achived their first win since 15th October the boys are now in the League Cup semi final where they will face league leaders Celtic Boys at 10:30 on 18th February at Eastbrook School.
