Broom Testimonial

Jason Broom's testimonial match has been arranged to mark his 10th year at the club. Jason arrived at Redbridge Forest in 1991 and carried on ever since for the new Dagenham & Redbridge club, and is the record appearance holder with almost 300. The game will be played on Friday 23rd March against West Ham United.

James Ayres, the defender recently signed from Luton Town has left the club to join Kettering Town.

The Daggers have signed James Ayres from Luton Town. He is a 6 foot 3 inches centre back and was born in 1980. He made his debut at Nuneaton. Juho Rahtala is still with the Daggers despite not making the trip to Nuneaton.

New Players

The Daggers have signed another two players. Kelechi Opara, a striker has been signed from Leyton Orient where he has been for 3 months. He was previously at Colchester. Juho Rahtala, a Finnish midfielder, has been signed after coming to England with Tihinen and trained with Leyton Orient. He has previously been with HJK Helsinki.

Youth Players Sign

School of Excellence players Paul Piscopides and Steve Vaughan have both been given contracts by the Daggers after impressing Garry Hill.

Contracts Extended

Danny Shipp, Steve Heffer, Paul Cobb and Tim Cole have all signed extensions to their contracts at the club. Steve Forbes has also signed a contract, having previously being on non-contract terms.

Haworth Sold

Rob Haworth has been sold to Sutton United of the Ryman Premier Division for a nominal fee. Haworth had previously spent a loan period at Sutton.

The Daggers have signed left winger Danny Hayzelden from Grays Athletic of the Ryman Premier Division for a nominal fee.
