The Daggers maginificent run of victories has finally come to an end at 9, just one short of the all-time Conference record of 10. Hayes halted the run with a 4-1 win over the Daggers at Church Road.

Rooney Signs?

Apparently the Daggers have signed full-back Mark Rooney from Ryman League club St. Albans. The 23 year old has previously been with Watford and Aylesbury.

Tonight Junior McDougald came off the bench for the England Semi-Pro team to score in the 3-0 victory over Holland in Weert.

New Striker

Tony Lock has signed for the Daggers from Colchester United on a free transfer. He spent 7 years at Layer Road and is 24 years old, although he did have a brief spell at Kettering last season. The Daggers beat off interest from Boston United to make the signing.

McDougald for England

Junior McDougald has flown out to Holland to join up with the England semi-pro squad after originally being on standby. If he plays, he will be the first Dagger to play for England since Paul Gothard. England play Holland on Thursday in Weert.

Cobby Listed

Paul Cobb has been placed on the transfer list by mutual consent. It was agreed as he realised his first team chances were limited at the Daggers.

Piscopides Loaned Out

Paul Piscopides has joined Billericay Town on loan, and he made his debut against Hitchin yesterday (17th March), scoring in Town's 3-1 victory.

Janney Extends

Mark Janney had extended his contract at the Daggers until May 2003.

The Daggers have beaten their record of most consecutive wins in the Conference. They previously won four in a row in 1992/3, defeating Merthyr, Yeovil, Welling and Bath. The current run is five in a row, winning against Kettering, Yeovil, Hednesford, Forest Green and Scarborough.

Yet Another Signing

Kieron Gallagher has signed from Aylesbury United. Kieron is a former Barnet winger who was originally at Chelsea. He was a firm favourite at the Ducks and spent 6 seasons there. He broke his leg last season but has recovered well. He has signed a 2 year contract.

The Daggers have been awarded Nationwide Conference performance of the month after their 3-1 win at Yeovil. Garry Hill has also shared the February Manager Of The Month Award with Woking boss Colin Lippiat.
