The first half in this game was somewhat boring with little entertainment. The ball was hit long by both teams and neither managed to score. There were some chances at either end though.
Chester had the first when a plyer went through on the left and shot across Roberts but he hit the post. They also had a chance from a well-struck free kick that curled just over the bar.
Perhaps their best chance came when Roberts ran out of his goal and made a poor punch, and the cross was headed just wide of the open goal as the forward was pressured by a defender.
Danny Shipp could have put the visitors ahead though when he evaded the defence and keeper but shot against the outside of the post from an acute angle. Tim Cole also had a chance from a Jones free kick that the big defender just failed to make contact with.
In the second half, the Daggers came into the match much more and pushed the home side back. They took the lead from a great set piece as Goodwin made it three goals in his last three games. Jones crossed from the corner, and Goodwin arrived at the back post to head home.
Tim Cole netted with a carbon copy of Goodwin's goal soon after, but for some reason the goal was disallowed, much to the amazement of the away support.
Goodwin almost scored another header as the Daggers continued to push forward, and he met the cross with full power but it was straight at the home keeper.
Roberts decided to entertain us with a little party trick as Chester started to come back, missing the ball as he went to kick it, only to run round and stop it before it could roll over the line.
However, Chester got the equaliser close to full-time, as Woods headed goalbound and Roberts could only get finger-tips to it, almost pushing it round the post, but not quite, and the points were shared.
