The Daggers started with the same team other than bringing two-goal hero Cobb in for McDougald. Jason Broom was back for the Daggers but only on the bench.

After an indifferent first ten minutes, the Daggers started to come right into the game and were camped inside the Doncaster half for a lot of the first 45, although not many good chances arose.

Paul Terry did have one guilt edge chance when he worked his way through the defence but could then only fire at the keeper who gratefully caught the ball low down.

Tony Lock threatened to score when he went on a mazy run across the pitch but after beating several defenders he could only fire his 20 yarder into the arms of the keeper.

Tim Cole had his hands full at the back as he was constantly elbowed in the head every time he challenged for a header wiht the Doncaster number 9, but the free kicks were few and far between.

However, Doncaster looked dangerous on the break and had a great chance when their small left winger was put through by a great pass but as tried to finish low past Roberts, the Daggers keeper superbly tipped the ball round the post.

The Daggers did have a big period of pressure when they forced several corners and free kicks. From one of these free kick the Daggers had a penalty shout turned down when Matthews was sandwiched between three defenders and seemingly pushed down, but no penalty was given.

There was one incident late on in the half when a Doncaster player pushed Heffer after a foul and although he got away with it, Heffer was booked for the foul and the Doncaster keeper was booked for mouthing off.

In the second half, the Daggers immidiately gave away a goal. Doncaster's left winger ran down the left and pulled a low powerful cross between defender and keeper, and although both of them tried to clear the danger, the ball was picked up by Hawkins to score.

However, just two minutes later the Daggers did their usual recovery act. A long ball into the box saw Shipp, being pulled back by the defender, head down to Cobb who smashed the ball under the keeper, getting a helping hand from a defender on the line.

Danny Shipp could have netted with a volley when he tried the spectacular from a right wing cross, but his effort was wide. The Daggers did add a second which proved to be the winner though.

From yet another Doncaster foul, Jones crossed to the penalty spot where Goodwin beat the keeper in the air and headed into the net. For some reason the Doncaster players protested for a foul on their defender, who in fact was clattered by his own keeper.

Doncaster looked dangerous on the brak though and almost scored a carbon copy of their goal, but the forward was not there to pick up the cross this time and the ball went out for a goal kick.

Doncaster missed a great chance to equalise. A cross in evaded all the players apart from the number nine who had crept in at the far post but with a gaping net, he put his header wide.

With not long left, the Daggers could have wrapped it up with a cross to the far post from Cobb finding Shipp who had all the time in the world but placed his shot rather than blasted it and the keeper scrambled across to save.

However, the Doncaster incessant fouling and mouthing off somewhat detracted from the game. As the Daggers shielded the ball in the corner near the end, a defender came in with both feat off the floor with a tackle straight into the back of the Daggers player's legs. This was after he had done this to Jones on the right wing earlier in the game as Dagenham threatened to break. Another awful foul was as Cole tried to shield the ball as it trickled out and another flying tackle came in at his legs.

However, we must not forget this was the ninth consecutive league win and another three points for the Daggers.
