The Daggers took a while to get going in this match, but when they did, they managed to outplay Hereford for the majority of it. Matt Jones filled in on the right as a replacement for the injured Janney, and Mark Keen made a surprise appearance on the bench despite recently signing for Heybridge.

Hereford had some early pressure and had a free kick which Roberst easily saved and another shot on target which a similarly easy catch for the Daggers keeper.

After this however, the Daggers played much better and set about gaining their 6th consecutive league win. Jason Broom forced a fantastic save from Cooksey when he headed goalwards from a cross, and Cooksey somehow managed to get down and push it away.

Danny Shipp threatened to score one of his specials when he cut inside his defender and smashed goalwards but the shot was straight at the Hereford keeper.

Paul Terry also had a good chance when he went through the middle and tried to place his shot in the top corner from close range but the home keeper was alert and he reacted quickly to catch the shot.

In the second half, Hereford rarely threatened, their best chance from a corner which was headed goalwards but then headed out by a Daggers defender.

Lee Goodwin had a good chance when Matt Jones beat several defender on a great run down the right and passed inside to Goodwin who prodded a weak shot goalwards and Cooksey got down well to save.

Paul Terry did break the deadlock though when Goodwin whipped in a dangerous low ball and Terry attacked the near post and slotted the ball past Cooksey easily.

Shipp had a good chance to add a second when another Goodwin cross was chested down by McDougakd to Shipp who smashed his shot against a defender and out for a corner from close range.

Matt Jones could have added a late goal when a he met a right wing cross at the far post but his shot was just over as he was pressured by a defender.
