There was not really much incident in this game as both sides failed to find the net. The Daggers started with new signing Mark Rooney in for Goodwin and Wignall in place of Cole, although Matthews was back and Vickers absent. Janney was also not in the matchday squad, but Tony Lock made a start up front.

The first chance came from Jones. He tackled a defender on the edge of the box and lashed a left foot volley against the foot of the post from 20 yards with the keeper beaten.

However, Telford keeper Price did make a good save to deny Matthews. A header from a corner looked like finding the bottom corner as Lock deflected it, but the keeper made a good save to tip round the post.

Paul Terry also had a chance when he dribbled past a defender at the side of the box and smashed a left foot shot just over.

Telford also had a chance in the first half from a corner. The corner was curled into the far post and was headed against the post, and it came out to a player on the edge of the box who fired well wide.

The second half also lacked excitement, although the Daggers did threaten with a great move. Gallagher volleyed a cross which Lock volleyed back to Shipp who again volleyed it but it was just wide.

Shipp also had another chance from a corner which found its way to the back of the box where Shipp met it on the volley but his shot was just over.

There was also an appeal for handball in the Telford box when a defender seemed to handle a cross but the referee didn't spot it.

Roberts made a good stop at the other end as a Telford player volleyed the ball at him across the goal from about 6 yards and despite the power of the shot, Roberts' reflexes meant he could hold onto the ball.

The Daggers became increasingly frustrated and went from a three man attack when Cobb came on, but it went pear shaped when Matthews was stretchered off the pich following a collision in the air with a Telford player who was also stretchered off. With all subs used, Brennan filled in at the back and Shipp dropped back into midfield.

D & R: Tony Roberts, Mark Rooney, Jack Wignall, Lee Matthews, Jason Broom, Kieran Gallagher (Paul Cobb), Paul Terry, Steve Heffer (Mark Brennan), Matt Jones, Danny Shipp, Tony Lock (Junior McDougald). Subs not used: Tim Cole, Lee Goodwin.

Man of the Match: Matt Jones worked hard, hit the post, got in some good crosses and didn't give the ball away much.
