Season Tickets

Season tickets can be collected from the clubhouse on Saturday before the Canvey game. You need identification to collect the ticket. If not collected, it will be posted to you.

Hammers First Team Visit

West Ham have changed their mind over their decision to send a reserve side to Jason Broom's testimonial and will be sending their first team squad. Tickets will now be sold for the game, available from the club from Saturday.

Play-Offs Rejected

The FA have again rejected the proposals to introduce a playoff system to decide the team promoted to the Football League after the Conference appealed at their original 'no' vote.

Fans Forum

Garry Hill will be holding a fans forum on Thursday 2nd August where fans have the chance to put their questions to the Daggers manager. It kicks off at 7:30 pm.

New Four Go West

Steve McGavin and Mark Stein will be joining the Daggers in their mini-tour of Devon on Friday and Saturday. The pair have trained with the Daggers and Garry Hill now wants to see them in a match. The two trialists, Russell Williamson and Jason Soloman will also travel. Paul Cobb has been told he is not part of the squad. Lee Matthews and Steve Forbes, returning from holiday, will have to prove fitness if they are to travel.

New Contracts

Mark Brennan and Jason Broom have both signed one year extensions to their contracts, keeping them at the Daggers until May 2002.

Using The Vic

Ford United will be using Victoria Road for their first six home games of the season. West Ham United reserves will also play at the Vic with prices £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. Season ticket holders of the Daggers or Hammers get free entry however.

Stadium Plans

The Daggers have revealed plans to put crash barriers in on the three terraced sides of the ground and to place three turnstiles at the end of Bury Road. This is hoped to be completed by September.

Trialists

The Daggers have asked two players to join them on pre-season training. Russell Williamson is the first, who was at Southend last year and has been with Wimbledon. Jason Soloman is the other, formely of Stevenage, St Albans and Hendon, as well as Fulham and Watford. Soloman played for Stevenage against Newcastle in the FA Cup in 1997.

Play-Offs Rejected

The Football Association have told the Conference that they will not accept the winner of the new play-off system into the Football League. They want a return to original and long standing measures of the champions automatically promoted. The two sides will discuss further at a meeting.

Spurs Moved

The Daggers' match against Tottenham has been moved to Tuesday 14th August so that the London club can send a strong team as they have a match on the Sunday before and didn't want to play two days in a row. Tottenham now bill the game as a First Team friendly.

Cobby Stays

Paul Cobb has failed to agree personal terms with Woking and so his proposed move has been cancelled.

LDV Trophy

The Daggers have received confirmation of their acceptance into the LDV Trophy for the coming season. The first round is on the 17th October.

Fixtures Released

The Conference fixtures for the coming season have been released and are on the fixtures/results page. Friendlies are also listed. The Daggers start the league campaign at home to Southport.
