Neville Southall Signs

The Daggers have signed ex-Welsh international goalkeeper Neville Southall. Neville was recently sacked as manager of Dover and has been signed by the Daggers as cover for Paul Gothard with Roberts currently injured. Neville won 92 caps for his country whilst Tony Roberts was his understudy for Wales. Almost all of his career was spent at Everton.

Grade A Daggers

The Daggers stadium at Victoria Road has been given the go-ahead to host Division 3 football should the Daggers win promotion at the end of the season. The Daggers have spent close to a million pounds on the ground recently which included a new stand, crush barriers, toilet block and turnstiles.

Purfleet Thrown Out

Purfleet have been removed from this season's Essex Senior Cup by the County FA for failure to fulfill the scheduled semi-final fixture against the Daggers and this means the Daggers go through to the final where they meet Canvey Island. Purfleet were also fined £200.

Junior Call Up

Junior McDougald is the only Dagger to be called into the England National Game (Semi-Professional) squad for the upcoming game against the USA at Stevenage Borough on Wednesday 20th March. Boston have no representatives in the squad, as John Owens tried to leave out players who would be playing in important relegation and promotion deciders.

Hooper Extends

Dean Hooper has had his loan deal extended until the end of the season. The right wing back has been on loan from Peterborough for a month and has played 5 games for the Daggers and has impressed with his forays down the wing.

Cole On Loan

Daggers defender Tim Cole, who has recently come back from his broken foot, has been loaned out to Billericay Town in order to regain some match fitness. He made his debut for the New Lodge side in their 2-0 win over Aldershot today and played in a back three with other ex-Daggers Jeff Woolsey and Chris Moore.
