Smith Extends

After signing on a short term contract to fill the gaps left by injuries to Tim Cole and Lee Matthews, Mark Smith has now been tied down until May 2003.

Piscopides Goes

Paul Piscopides, one of the PASE Youth Team players signed on Conference forms, has been released. He spent most of the season so far on loan at Heybridge and East Thurrock.

Gallagher Is A Rebel

Kieran Gallagher has left the Daggers to join Slough Town. Kieran was signed last season from Aylesbury where he spent six years, and was unable to get into the Daggers team. He spent September on loan to Boreham Wood and has now left permanently to join Slough.

LDV Draw

The Daggers have been drawn at home to Luton Town of Division Three in the second round of the LDV Vans Trophy. The game will be all ticket. A limited number of terrace tickets will go on sale on Saturday 20th October between 11am and 1pm from the clubhouse and during the Nuneaton match on the same day from the club shop. The seat tickets and the rest of the terrace tickets will go on sale at 6pm on Tuesday 23rd October and will continue to be sold all day every day until they are sold out.

FA Cup Draw

The Daggers have been drawn away to Basingstoke Town in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round.

Lock Leaves

Tony Lock has been released from his contract at the club. Garry Hill informed the player that he didn't figure in his plans after the signing of Charlery.

Charlery Signs

The Daggers have signed Ken Charlery. The striker was released on a free transfer by Boston earlier this week and the Daggers beat off Stevenage, Rushden and Doncaster to sign him. He was top scorer for Barnet in 99/00 before moving to Boston for £25,000 in September 2000. He scored 16 goals last year and already has 8 this year.

Dagger Awards

Garry Hill has won the Manager of the Month award for September, in a month that saw 6 wins in 8 games. Four of the wins were away. Mark Stein has also grabbed an award, the Goalscorer of the Month award. He netted six. Keith Scott was second with 5.

Awards Dinner

Lee Matthews and Garry Hill will be attending the Non-League Paper's awards dinner on Thursday. Both are in contention for awards. The dinner is to be held at Chelsea Village Hotel.

Loans

Paul Piscopides has ended his loan spell at Heybridge. He and Steve Vaughan have joined East Thurrock United on loan. Steve Forbes has been loaned to Braintree and Gallagher's loan at Boreham Wood has been extended to a second month.
