Barnet, desperate to end their awful run of away form, were quick out of the blocks and were very physical as they tried to take an early advantage. The Daggers welcomed Rooney back into the defence.
Within 4 minutes, the Daggers were behind as they struggled to contain Barnet. A left wing cross from the impressive Toms was headed down at the back post and slotted home by Midgley.
Barnet continued to dominate possession and a free header from a corner was put well over when he could have put the Bees two up. However, the Daggers gradually got back into it and Brennan had a great chance with a right foot shot from the edge of the box that went just wide.
Danny Shipp wasted the best chance when he met a cross with a header, and although unmarked he somehow put it over the bar from 10 yards out. Shipp also tried his luck from long range but it was easily gathered by the keeper.
Mark Janney put in several dangerous crosses as the Daggers started to dominate the closing stages of the half. They finally got the goal for their efforts when Steve Heffer met a Jones cross at the back post to head across the keeper and into the net.
The second half saw a lot of end-to-end play, as both sides put in many crosses and had many corners but neither team could capitalise. Mark Stein had the best chance of the half when he got the ball in the box and turned but could only shoot weakly at Harrison from 12 yards.
Danny Shipp could have won the game with a shot from inside the box that beat the keeper but came back off the post, and Barnet had a last chance when a free header was put straight at Roberts.
