The Daggers took a decent point away from the McCain Stadium but with Boston winning at home to Farnborough, the Daggers fall behind in the title race, but with two games left anything can happen. West and Hooper were back, as was McDougald who didn't look fully recovered. Heffer was back in the team as Shipp moved up front.

Scarborough had more of the early action and signalled their intent with a long range shot within the first few seconds that went well wide. Scarborough's main threat was from set pieces though, as they had several big men to pack into the box. Stamp had a header from one such corner, that was over, and Sugden had a great chance when the ball was squared to him 6 yards out and he scuffed his shot at Roberts.

The Daggers then came back into it a little more andgot some more of the ball, although Hooper's effort from long range almost cleared the stand, and Terry had an effort from closer in that couldn't really be called a shot, more a passback. However, the home side cam strong again towards the end of the half, and Roberts made the best save of the match as he tipped over another Stamp header from a corner that looked destined for goal.

The second half was much better in terms of football and for the visitors as they took control and the home side barely had a shot for the whole half. Danny Hill was once again instrumental as he created most of the attacking play with his calm passing and control. Shipp had a great chance as he met a right wing cross on the scissor kick from the edge of the box but he put it within inches of the far post. Steve West hit the top of the bar with an overhead kick that had looped over the keeper, and Scarborough's only real effort was a 25 yarder that went wide.

The Daggers had most of the play though, and Danny Hill was denied a blatant penalty as he tricked his way into the box and was tripped from behind, but the referee and linesman didn't give anything. Matt Jones nearly lobbed the keeper as he bamboozled the defender and chipped the ball across the box, and the keeper had to tip it over at his far post.

The best chance came late on though, as McGavin was put through and he hit his shot high from an angle, giving the keeper a chance to save, and the follow up was crossed to West, and his diving header went at the keeper who had scrambled back to his line.

So a point was the Daggers' reward for a good performance in the second half, but it's not over yet and the players will have to keep going to make sure any Boston slip-ups are capitalised on.
