The Daggers welcomed back Mark Stein from suspension to provide some much-needed firepower that has been dearly missed over the last couple of games that have seen the Daggers fail to score without him. Janney also replaced Hooper, and seemed to be back to some sort of form, and with much improved work-rate to what he has been showing recently.

Both sides had early range-finders, Terry putting his usual long-shot into the road behind the ground, and a similar effort came at the other end. Mark Janney looked to register an early warning as he ran through the defence and cut inside before shooting over with his left foot. Danny Hill had the best effort as he volleyed one after a corner had come out to him but it was just wide of the upright.

At the other end, Sharpling wasted a great chance as he broke clear, and with a man unmarked in the box he shot wide and over from inside the box as West made the challenge.

However, the Daggers took the lead with a superb move and finish. Paul Terry marauded forward with the ball as he did many times in the game to great effect, and played a great ball inside the full back for Janney. He got there before the defender and sent over a whipped near post cross that Stein met with the header to loop over Tucker at his near post and in at the far.

Matt Jones had a similar effort although more difficult with his back to goal, but he still forced Tucker to push the ball over the bar from 18 yards. The Daggers cause was also helped as D'Sane stupidly tackled Heffer after the ball had gone and earned himself a red card having already been booked for a similar tackle earlier on.

The second half mostly belonged to the Daggers, who theatened with Terry, who ran at the defence and broke through only to shoot at the keeper when one-on-one, when all he had to do was whip the ball round the keeper and into the net. However, the Daggers got some help from the defence to put them two up, as Shipp put in a low hard cross that Scott Smith could only divert into his own net under pressure.

Danny Shipp had a shot saved by Tucker, before Janney went through and hit it off target, but the Daggers' best chance to make it three was through Hayzelden. Tucker came to get a through ball only to realise that McDougald was too quick and had got there first. Junior dribbled away from the keeper with his back to him and Tucker followed him, allowing Junior to square to Hayzelden who shot wide of the empty net from the edge of the box.

The Daggers had a couple of scares at the other end as Sharpling used his pace, once shooting wide himself and then crossing for his fellow striker, only for Griffin to miss the ball. With Boston losing, it all goes down to the last game level on points.
