Two In On Loan
11/10/2002
The Daggers have sealed two new players on loan deals in a bid to move up the table. The first is Paul Mayo from Lincoln City. He is a left sided defender or wing-back and is twenty years old. His arrival will cover the suspended Ashley Vickers. He is rated 'very highly' by Lincoln manager Keith Alexander but needs first team games after warming the bench this season. He has played over 60 games for The Imps and a months' deal has been arranged. The second is striker Gary Fletcher from Leyton Orient. He is 21 and was signed from Northwich Victoria after scoring twice against the Daggers in their game at Drill Field in 2000/01, one of which won an online vote for Goal of the Season for Northwich. He has also played on loan for Billericay Town. He will be at the Daggers for a month after recently losing his place in the O's side, and goals in Daggers colours will likely see no loan extension, and instead a restoration to the Orient team. Both players are expected to make debuts in the Morecambe game.

Potts' Red Rescinded
10/10/2002
After an appeal against the red cards given to Mark Stein and Steve Potts during the Southport game, Steve Potts' red card has been rescinded leaving him free to play against Morecambe. The video evidence showed the ball hit the defender on the leg. Stein was not so fortunate as the evidence was branded 'inconclusive' meaning his three game ban will stand. Meanwhile Tim Cole, on loan at Gravesend, has developed yet another injury.
