A second less than convincing performance in as many games, this time probably more so, but the Daggers still managed to take a point from this game. It signalled the end of the winning run but was also a point gained on fellow playoff-contenders Morecambe who lost to Gravesend. Mark Smith was dropped for this game with Vickers and Goodwin both back in the side. Heffer was suspended, but Paul Bruce made his comeback from the bench after a long lay-off.

Neither side were really hitting anything like form going forward in a disjointed game where too many players were having off days. Thankfully, Cole, Goodwin and Matthews were as strong as ever to ensure the draw. Danny Hill had a couple of volleys charged down as the Daggers struggled to get the ball into good attacking areas. The offside flag denied Junior the chance to go through on three occasions when it seemed pretty obvious he had two men between him and the goal when the ball was played.

Lee Goodwin got as close as any with an off-target header from a corner, Parke's shot at the other end being Halifax's only real effort on goal, which was easily saved by Roberts. West drove one wide as the Daggers tried from range after failing to get round the defence with Mustafa and McGrath not having their best games like the rest of the midfield. The half ended on a strange note though as the ball rolled through to Roberts. He controlled the ball and waited for the striker to close him down. However, manager Wilder beckoned his team not to challenge and the crowd had the pleaser of seeing Roberts stand with the ball for three minutes until the half time whistle went. It is still unclear why he was wasting such time at home when the scores were 0-0, injury must be the only explanation and he wanted to get through to half time for treatment.

The Daggers carved out a decent chance after the break, but it took about 20 minutes for it to materialise. Shipp swung the ball into the back post and Junior stretched to reach it, Butler making a good low save to prevent the goal. Janney was then introdruced to provide some pace and width, but this coincided with a change to three up front, Stein on for Hill, which reduced the already tight space up front. Goodwin and Stein tried from range as they became increasingly frustrated, Goodwin's flashing over the bar and Stein's into the keeper's arms, a little more height on the ball being enough to open the scoring as Butler was off his line.

Shipp's free kick fired into the keeper who tipped over but there was still little goal threat, and towards the end, Halifax started to come more into the game in forward areas, but couldn't create anything of note. Paul Bruce was slung into action but he was never going to change it on his injury comeback, needing more games to get sharp, and the game drifted away into a 0-0 draw.
